"From Caterpillar to Butterfly: Inventing and Applying Initial Ideas that Become Beautiful Essays."
Start Date: 10/1/2019Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 10/1/2019End Time: 1:00 PM
Event Description:

Presenter: English Professor Dr. Gary Wilson

Some students never give their essays a chance--a chance to be truly informative, convincing, and creative. Sometimes, we say "I've definitely got writer's block on this writing assignment." As a result, we convince ourselves to fall into the pit of mediocrity and write essays that seem to be lacking something in the final recipe.  Prewriting is really all about "inventing" ideas and letting your brain bubble-up concepts that will serve as the stepping stones to expressive and organized essays.  Join Dr. Wilson in a writing workshop designed to change your caterpillar essay into a beautiful butterfly.
