12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Build the Bridge, Then Dare to Walk it: Collaborative Teaching Abroad
Critical Thinking. How do we define it among the dusty roads of Rwanda and the forgotten slums of Kenya. Far from a vacation spot is a location in much need of assistance:water, food, orphanage, teaching, and so much more. In Fall 2013, my travels with non-governmental organizations took a rather interesting twist. While keeping a blog for my students to document my seven day trip, something unique happened: my students provided most of the answers for the ethical, humanitarian, and logistic landmines my team was encountering in Rwanda and Kenya.  A project that took two years to plan was made successful in seven days by SCC students who participated in its structure.

All Day Art Gallery: Privacy World

Privacy World
A Fun and Secure Experience!*

October 16 - November 6
Opening Reception Thursday, October 16th, 4-7 PM

From the Artist:

Do you like privacy? Do you hate privacy? Do you like cookies? Then Privacy World: A Fun and Secure Experience!* is for you! Take an analog stroll through the Internet and forfeit a little of your privacy while you engage with art about privacy!

Certainly the most exciting time to view Privacy World will be during the show's opening on October 16th from 4-7. Sue Anne Rische, The Artist, will be watching you through her many hidden security cameras, analyzing your facial expressions, and making critical observations about you while you navigate the gallery, giving her security personnel instructions on how to react to the data she collects. Nothing to worry about! This already happens to you every day!

Marvel at the policies! Drop your jaw at the compromising adult material in her facebook! DARE to leave a deeply personal secret behind, and possibly steal another!

If you miss the opening, The Artist will feel really sad, and you too should feel really sad. However, all is not lost, as the show will run through November 6th.

More info can be found on my twitter page: @ActuallySueAnne
